Prepare for Winter

It gets chilly these days in Tokyo. So we already have our floor heating system at home since Ji-chan needs it.
It's such cozy one. Ah, I want to be here all day long!

When it gets much colder, what will Terry do? He has this jacket called "han-ten" (pronounce as "hang-ten") that is for winter. It keeps him quite warm during winter. Yep, they even have Han-ten jacket available for dogs!

Belated birthday for myself

It was my birthday last week. I couldn't do anything much since I was so busy. But I received gifts, messages and even an international birthday call.
How sweet they are! They made me lots of smiles.
Thanks my buddies!

On this week, I went to a store to get a birthday gift for myself! See the photo on the right. (It's from the official site of the maker, Thermos.) I have been thinking of it and I got it at last! This is a coffee maker. Generally it has a glass pot, however, it comes up with "Thermos", a flask bottle!! It keeps coffee warm for a while so it would be useful for winter season.

Now I would try my new tool...
Oh no!! I don't have any coffee bean for it! I have to get some today.

Whisky or Chocolate?

I found such ones at a store the other day. It contains whisky inside.
So what should I call it? Whisky? Chocolate? Hard to say...
What do you think?

Pumpkin Pie

All the photos on this article are from the web site.

I had sample piece of pumpkin pie at Costco in Japan. It was the first time in several years to have it. Its taste reminded me of my all those days memories in USA...
Anyway, it was nice that I could have it at the store here in Japan since I have left there.
Actually, I have had some opportunity of having the pie in Japan after I've left US. Where? Well, there was a restaurant named AnnaMiller's in Tokyo that provided us the pies, however, they have had retrenchment. There are only 2 stores available by now so I can't get the pie as I used to be anymore. I have been missing such pies one since then.

In USA, pumpkin pie is very common stuff for Halloween. Besides, there is another popular one that I've also been missing. What is Pecan pie.
Ah, I'm missing this one too. Am I greedy? I wish that Costco may have this pie for free sample when I go there next time. Can I make it? I do hope so...

Tour to Costco?!

Recently Costco becomes so popular in Japan. In fact, they have featured "How to shop at Costco" on some magazines. The TV show as well.
Look at the photos below. It is the magazine that featured the cover story for 13 pages long. Isn't it something?!
近頃、日本のCostco(日本ではコストコと言っている)は巷で評判です。

At the weekend of mid October, I gave my coworkers a tour to Costco. The beginning was our chatting at the work. They said about the popularity of the store and waned to go there. But they don't have membership card. Well, I do! Why don't we go together? Why not!!
So we went there together.

At the store, we were all busy so I couldn't take any photos at all. We bought a lot. Shop till we drop? Nope!
According to them, they didn't take much of what they wanted. Why? Because they came there by a train ride. So they have to carry such amount by themselves. They had to give up many of so to called heavy loads. I gave them a ride to the train station though, I can't go all the way.

The photos below show the one in California. This is where I used to go. It may remind you how I went shopping there.

My Favorite Bakery

This is my favorite bakery.
On weekends, I often go for fresh baked ones. In fact, it's very popular among them. It's not only tasty fresh baked one. What else? See the photo below. You can have it there soon after your purchase. You can also get free coffee.
So I enjoy their deal, fresh bred and free coffee, there very often.
Today, I went there to get some but I couldn't make it. Why? Because there were long line of cars and couldn't find any spot to park.
Mmmm, it's getting too popular by now.

Lake Yamanaka & Mt Fuji #2

Part 2 Late September

It wasn't fine weather that day. At first we were not sure if we would go for it or not. It seemed unstable condition in the sky. In case of rain, it would be hard for both Terry and us to play outside.
But it's far away from Tokyo so we had a slight hope for fine weather there. So we decided to go for.

Then we visited K's Point again. But we couldn't see Keith this time. He and his Mama had the day off. Too bad!
While we were having our lunch, I looked up on a book I brought with. It told about indoor leash-free dog park near there. I noted the phone number for I would call them and ask the details later lunch.
To my surprise, it was very close each other!
So we headed to "Woof" that has both doggy swimming pool and leash-free ones park. This time we played at the indoor park since it began raining hard by then. Besides we didn't take swimming gear for Terry.
The photo above shows indoor leash-free dog park. I bet it used to be a tennis court. Then they turned it into the park for dogs. Isn't it nice?

It has seats for audiences. I guess they have had tennis tournaments in those days. You can see the park outside through the window. It may used to be for lawn tennis court.

It doesn't matter to Terry at all. he just wanted to play around, running around!
He got many playmates also.
On that day,our arrival crossed with Reiko family's departure. It was just a few hour difference. I should have been there much earlier... if I have known it. Next time!

Punctual flower delayed in full bloom

It had been incredibly hot summer this year so lots of "the sense of seasons" were deviated. In fact, Higan-bana that would always blooms at precisely Higan season however, this punctual flower has delayed in this season. It is finally in full bloom on today, October 2.
The photo below is the one at my house garden.
